Let’s talk about thrifting. I personally have only started to take thrifting more seriously at the beginning of this year. There is so much you can truly find while thrifting if you have the right mindset and location.
When I started thrifting, I was very overwhelmed. Usually thrift stores are filled with a bunch of random clothes, shoes, accessories, and random items. It can be very overwhelming to the point where people do not want to even look through the items.
Since beginning my thrifting journey, I have collected a few tips along the way that I would love to share with you all.
First, go in knowing what you are looking for. Whenever I go thrifting I have an idea of what types of clothing items or accessories I am looking for. Since the season just switched to fall, I would look for sweaters, flannels, jackets, and boots.
Most thrift stores are organized by color, but some are not. If this is the case for the thrift stores you are going to, I would recommend knowing what colors suit you/ you are looking for. It can get overwhelming sorting through all of the colors.
My last tip is asking yourself these two questions, “Do I already have something in my closet that this item can go with?” and “Just because it's five dollars, do I really need it?” Thrifting can be such an easy excuse to literally buy everything you sort of like because it is so cheap, which I am not completely against, but buying clothes that you actually like and are actually going to wear is going to be way better than coming home with a bunch of random items you have no idea what to wear with.
The last part of my blog post is going to be dedicated to a couple of outfits I put together with the items I thrifted from my local Goodwill this week.
I absolutely love this outfit. I thrifted the sweater for under five dollars. I decided to pair it with a pair of black leggings and snake print booties. Another cute look would be with some black ripped skinny jeans instead of the leggings.

Shoes are from Princess Polly
This outfit is definitely calling more towards my "girly" side in fashion. As soon as I saw this sweater at the Goodwill I knew I was going to wear it with this skirt and boots I already had at home (the tips actually work). A pair of white booties would look very cute as well.

I love an all black outfit moment. I was looking for a good thin material black sweater that would go great with my leather skirt. This top would also look great paired with black or denim jeans.

I saved the best for last. My personal favorite finds is this top and the loafers. As soon as I saw both of them I knew I would get so much wear out of them. Personally I am a huge fan of loafers.
